Get to Know Kevin Williams, DDS
Why Orthodontics?
Inspired by his background in science and sales, Dr. Kevin Williams was drawn to orthodontics. He wanted to help people find beautiful smiles and new confidence, and he admired the close connections that a doctor forms with those they help.
Education & Background
Dr. Kevin Williams was born in Natchez, Mississippi, and grew up in Ferriday, Louisiana on Lake Concordia.
He attended Louisiana State University on an academic scholarship and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science.
After a short stint with the Louisiana Dept. of Environmental Quality, Dr. Williams sold chemicals used in the recycling processes in North Louisiana, South Arkansas and East Texas until 2001.
His interest in healthcare and medicine led him to a position as a pharmaceutical representative where he ranked top in the nation.
Orthodontic Expert
In 2005, Dr. Williams returned to the classroom to pursue prerequisites for applying to dental school.
He worked full time and attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and Delta Community College to prepare for dental school. He was accepted into LSU Dental School in New Orleans in 2006.
Dr. Williams graduated with honors from LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans in 2010 and pursued a specialty residency in orthodontics at The University of Louisville for two more years. He graduated from UL in 2012 and went on to work as an associate for Dr. Williams Sansing in Alexandria, LA for a year.
In 2013, Dr. Williams opened his offices in Monroe, Louisiana and El, Dorado Arkansas, where he’s been hard at work ever since!
Today, he and his wonderful team see hundreds of patients a week all around El Dorado and Monroe while giving them the beautiful smiles they deserve.
Beyond the Practice
Dr. Williams lives in Monroe and his sons, Clay and Andrew, are attending college in Fort Collins, Colorado and Fayetteville, Arkansas, respectively.
In his spare time, he likes to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors. He likes golf but isn’t very good at it.
